MMA star Ronda Rousey has never held back. What can we say?... sex sells. In a recent Showtime interview with Jim Rome, Rousey expressed her opinions about sex and how it effects women fighters.
"For girls it raises your testosterone, so I try to have as much sex as possible before I fight actually. Not with like everybody, I don’t put out like Craigslist ads or anything, but if I got a steady I’m going to be like 'yo, fight time’s coming up."
The 25-year-old…

In an interview with SI.com yesterday, Dana White said "It's absolutely going to happen," when referring to a UFC Women's Division.
Can anyone guess who helped to change the mind of the boss man? Yuuuuppp, Ronda Rousey.
Rousey has finished all 6 of her opponents by first round armbar, coining the name "The Arm Collector" in many MMA media outlets.
White says there is no time for the new division. Rousey's transition to UFC, White says, "could happen…

If, as it should be, mixed martial arts is ever legalized in New York, don't forget to give Strikeforce bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey her share of credit.
On April 18 in Albany, N.Y., the New York state senate voted 43-14 to approve a bill that would legalize and regulate MMA in the state. It still needs to pass the assembly and then be signed by Gov. Cuomo in order to become law.
The bill has passed the state senate before, but this time around, said…

A judo bronze medalist at the 2008 Olympics, Rousey became the new face of women's MMA after ripping the bantamweight title from Miesha Tate's grasp in March. It was tough for Tate to hang onto anything after Rousey dislocated her elbow.
The 25-year-old American told Reuters it had been hard to scratch out a living when she first got started in the sport.
"I made $800 out of it," she said of her professional debut last March. "But that was a hell of a lot more…

For what it’s worth, Gilbert Melendez/Josh Thomson III isn’t a bad fight. It’s just not the fight people wanted. It just feels obvious and limited and, you know, uninspired.
There was a time not that long ago when Dana White assured everybody that Melendez -- a top three lightweight who happens to be in his prime -- would not be left pining for challenges in Strikeforce. This was before his Dec. 17 Strikeforce bout with Jorge Masvidal. This was after reconciliation…

UFC president Dana White has long felt that women's MMA could draw public interest for one or two big fights a year, but there simply weren't enough talented women competing in the sport to build divisions around. And while UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta recently told MMAFighting.com that he agrees with White to a certain degree, his outlook on the future of women's MMA appears to be a whole lot more optimistic.
"I've never been against it," Fertitta said. "You know, me…

For his next one, he'll get 12 – if he can get official word from his promoter that May 19 is indeed the date that he gets the biggest opportunity of his career against Nate Marquardt (31-10-2 MMA, 0-0 SF).
