Carlos Condit vs. Nick Diaz rematch set

Just three days after defeating Nick Diaz for the UFC welterweight interim belt, Carlos Condit has agreed to a rematch, promotion president Dana White said late Tuesday night.
"The rumor is true," White Tweeted. "Carlos did accept the fight today."
Condit defeated Diaz by unanimous decision Saturday night at UFC 143 in Las Vegas. He was able to elude Diaz's pressure attack, while delivering running counter-strikes which impressed the judges.
Diaz expressed disappointment with the judges' scorecards (48-47, 49-46 and 49-46), "I'm not going to accept the fact that this was a loss. I pushed him back the whole fight. I took him down. I think I'm done with this MMA. It's been a good time.
In the midst of an emotional "high", Diaz stated his retirement from MMA and went on to say, "I don't need this. I pushed this guy the whole fight. I landed the harder punches. He kicked me a few times."
The Condit camp came to terms with the fact that GSP would not return until November and went against their initial decision and agreed to set a rematch with Nick Diaz. I'm sure a nice sum of money is in it for them... so why not? Most fans want to see it anyway!
