UFC on FX 6: Lombard smashes Palhares, calls out Bisping
"Bisping, please. Where is he? I want a piece of him. I don’t want to talk, let’s just sort it in the cage. Me and him."
After Knocking out Rousimar Palhares in the first round at UFC on FX 6, he was quick to call out Michael Bisping for the trash he talked when Lombard first came to the UFC. In an interview with MMA Hour this past July, Bisping said:
“I will be honest, I have never seen the guy fight once because I've never seen Bellator, I don't watch it, I have no interest. By all accounts he's an aggressive fighter and he knocks people out, but I have never seen him fight. He could be the best thing since sliced bread, I don't' know. But what I do know is that he has never fought in the UFC, so why the f*** is he getting a title shot?"
At a UFC Q&A Bisping went on to say:
“I thought somebody was playing a practical joke. I was like, who is this little poison dwarf? He’s about this big. I mean come on, seriously? Seriously? This is the guy with all the hype? I think he’s in the wrong weight class. There’s a 125 weight class I think he should be in that. He obviously didn’t get enough sleep as a kid or his mum was smoking because he’s growth has been majorly stunted.”
All in all, Lombard has kept quiet. But after his win in Australia he announced that he "would love to fight Michael Bisping – he's said a lot of things about me lately and I want to settle it in the Octagon.”
